05.12.2010 - THE COMPETITION!!!

The competition is finally over.
In total 49 teams have entered the competition - 12 tourists and 37 extremes.
Stage 3 - in total 8.4 rolls of buntings were used and around 320 poles needed to mark the fast and demanding trail section.At 10AM the official opening and presentation of the teams started and on 10:30 the first teams started the time attack.

04.12.2010 - THE COMPETITION!!!

The competitors have lined in for 2 special stages. Short but very demanding. The first one was easier but the second one took lots of roll overs. All tems showed their best but still, those ones, with more experience and luck managed to get great times and no penalties. More of the time, all cars were only on 3 wheels and in total we got 4 rollovers.

The first day of the competition have passed through hard terms - fog, heavy mud, clay and deep ruts combined with extreme navigation. On the starting line 36 teams tried them self and the car.

The roadbook for the Tourist class is now completery checked. The total distance is 152.84km. ( 31 pages A5 format) with an average time of 5 hours driving without stop. The track can be fully completed only with Rear Wheel Drive ! Following the roadbook, the Tourist class team will have the advantage of getting in touch with roadbook navigation and visiting the extreme and interesting places of the Extreme class competitors.

The roadbook of the 10th edition of the 4x4 Shumen is ready !
From the words of the organizer:" The competition will be won by the navigators", gives a warm call about the high demanding navigation skill required ! Because of theat, officially on 2nd December 2010, from 3:30PM, Kiril Panayotov will held a WORKSHOP on real terrain to give advices and training to all teams !

The registration has begun! From 1st September untill the beginning of the competition, each one of you wishing to compete can do that after doing trough the rules and demands and officially registering !
On display for everyone, we will provide a list with all registered competitors which will be weekly updated!
untill now, unofficial registrations were made from 7 teams from 4 countries!

Breif:
In the competition are allowed to take part men and women, over the age of 18, with 4wd vehicle weighing under 3.5 tons. The teams will be tested in navigation stages, precidion driving and handling the vehicle, team and strategy thinking. In the event will be competing the best of the Bulgarian's, Turkey's, Greek's, Anbanian's and many more competitors, while the interest in Europe grows bigger and bigger my every moment.

In 2010 - 3 days offroading! :
The teams will be devided in 2 classes: EXTREME and TOURIST, and each competitor will feel what it is to be part of one of the most hard and complex trophy-trail competitions in the Balcans.
Day 1 from the competition, the teams from class EXTREME will face each other finding the finish using Roadbook over hard and difficult terrain. On the track they will have to pass over several extreme sections where they will need the use of winches and sand ladders. The teams from class TOURIST will get to know what it is to navigate with a roadbook and where does the limit of the team comes, while driving around of a roadbook track finding the extreme zones for watching the BIG BOYS of class EXTREME.
Day 2 , will face class EXTREME with some short technical sections with lots of places for showing technical and manuveral skills and best way of using all the offroad equipment, and as add navigation via Roadbook to each section. Class TOURIST wil have the chance of watching "live" with the use of a roadbook to the sections and if they want, they will be allowed to test themselfs in the sections.
Day 3 , will held the traditional stage of "The Italian chaise" on a slow, techinal and demanding cause where Speed, manuvarability and thinking will make the team winner for the class EXTREME. Class TOURIST will again have the chance of passing the track, and with this they will have competed the most of the offroad experience required to know that is needed to become champion in one of the hardest international offroad competitions in the Balcans.

What do you need to compete :
A team is formed by a pilot /driver/ and co-pilot /driver/ with a заедно с 4х4 vehicle under 3.5 tons . You must successfully registered your team online, and get to know the rules and what is the obligatory equipment for the class that you want to attend. Pay the start and insurance tax, and sign the declaration at the day of administrative check, then the marshals will check up the vehicles and if everything is properly done - you are ready to face the 4x4 Shumen 2010 Adventure!
